An open letter to Mr. President Olusegun Obasanjo by Mr. President, It is over a year and half since you took office. Your administration no doubt, took over a country whose economy was battered, the infrastructure destroyed, and its citizens humiliated by the past so-called rulers. Unfortunately for Nigerians up till now, nothing has changed. The present House and the Senate are in disarray. From all indication it seems these people in Congress do not know the huge problems facing Nigeria as a country and its future existence, hence their do nothing attitude. All they do, is bicker among themselves and seek their personal comfort and well being instead of legislating and doing the people's business. Nigerians are groaning under the present structure of our country, and the citizens are calling for a change. A change that will uplift Nigeria and its people. To us concerned citizens, you seem not to be listening to the wishes of majority of Nigerians. Maybe you do not understand the hopelessness of the present Nigeria system, and not allowing the National Conference where Nigerians will all come together and spell out a new structure, where everyone will be happy and co-exist peacefully, is an injustice. The present system has failed us. For forty years we have stagnated and lacked meaningful progress. Those who do not want change are those who are benefiting from this present flawed system, to the detriment of the entire citizenry and the country in general. It is morally wrong on your path to continue to ignore the people's wish. In the history of human existence the wishes of the people has always prevailed, no matter how long it takes. If you do the right thing Nigerians will remain grateful to you for ever, but ignoring this injustice is to create conflict and seeking justice is the way to peace. God bless
