Endorsement of criminality by Correct me if I am wrong, is Mr. Jemibewon the current Police Affairs Minister, not the same fellow who built a flyover bridge to nowhere at the secretariat roundabout Ibadan, when he was military governor? That bridge epitomizes the intellectual and administrative capability of this gentleman. He might have been the world’s best military policeman in a military junta but in present day Nigeria with our newly minted DIARCHY, [Zik was right, after all.] Mr. Jemibewon should be sent back to school. The other day somebody reported that the Attorney General wanted to hang people for belonging to cults, now the Police Minister is endorsing the Bakassai Boys as a crime fighting unit approved by the Nigerian state. What is the difference between the Bakassai Boys and the Oodua Peoples Congress which Nigerian policemen are currently seeking? Could someone please tell these two characters who are incidentally lawyers[?], that no matter the provocation and situation, vigilante justice has no place in a civil polity. The advantage of running a diarchy is that military training could be brought to bear when resolving problems. The best a military/ political tactician should do, is to politely keep quiet until his objective is attained, with acceptable human losses., then move in and clean up. Mr. Jemibewon, the police are not in place for you to deploy in the middle of the night to the house of your senate president! are you being loyal to the Nigerian state or the president that appointed you?. You have disgraced Nigeria with your act of crass irresponsibility and you are a national disgrace. Please, when next you visit Ibadan, ask the present governor to open the secretariat flyover bridge, so that you can drive over the roundabout and clear your head.
