Enough of Igbo Cry of Marginalization - Stop Marginalizing your
     own people first
By

The cry of marginalization by Igbo leaders is not sincere at all. They use
this cry of marginalization to divert attention from their weakness and
inability to deliver. I am saying that the cry of the Igbos leaders of
marginalization to me is a crocodile tears, because Igbos marginalize
themselves more than any other ethnic group in Nigeria. For example, the
Igbos are shouting about the condition of the Federal roads in Igbo land but
70% ( Seventy percent) of the roads in Igbo land is under the state and
local government in Igbo land. Why have they not fixed their own roads
before making these noise about roads. If the seventy percent of the roads
in Igbo land is fixed by the States and Local government then we will have
motorable roads.
The Igbo States and local governments can work out something among
themselves and collaborate and fix their share of roads for the benefit of
Igbos. We really do not have to work together when it comes to war or other
action to show our Igboness. The rural people whose roads are under the
state and Local Government needs these roads to produce food, feed their
family and sell these farm products in the market; these roads are under
state and local governments and nothing is being done about them and all
they talk about is federal roads as if without Federal roads Igbos cannot
move about.
Please the Igbo Leaders should not tell us about the billions of dollars
Abacha, Babangida, Ani, Akinloye and Aikhomu stole, they should tell us what
they did with the millions or thousands of Igbo money that went through
their hands into their pockets. I hate their guts trying to confuse ordinary
Igbos on marginalization while they have marginalzed their fellow Igbos to
an unbearable level.
Igbos have excelled in every human endeavour but how come when it is time
for them to use our (Governemnt) money to excel by fixing roads and schools
in Igbo land they fail and go out to Lagos and Abuja shouting
marginalization in beer parlours and pepper soup joints. Shame onto them.
In commerce, Industry, Education and community activities and empowerment
the ordinary Igbos have done well but when it comes to Government money to
fix Igbo land, the so called Igbo Leaders abuse and misuse our share and run
off to Lagos and Abuja to tell the world about marginalization while Igbo
money is used to send their Children to the best schools and comfortable
houses in America and Britain.
Please enough of Igbo marginalization, we have heard it enough already. When
Igbos stop marginalizing themselves others will stop. Take care of your own
responsibility first before counting on others. I am in no way saying here
that the Federal Government of Nigeria should not fix Federal roads in Igbo
Land, Like the saying goes, charity begins at home.
