FOB F RIENDS OF BAYELSA.August 5, 2003 Dear Sir/Madam INTRODUCTION: BAYELSA BUSINESS DINNER/RECEPTION - LONDON We would like to introduce to you/your organisation the Bayelsa State Reception/ Business Dinner. This event is being organised by the "Friends of Bayelsa" and aimed at promoting business and investment opportunities in the state. The event is slated for the 6th of Sept. 2003 at the Garth Hotel, Hendon Way, London.
The Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Chief D.S.P.Alameiyeseigha along with top Government officials and dignitaries would be attending the occasion, as the Special Guest of Honour and guests respectively. They would be able to answer questions about business opportunities in the state from potential investors. Major businesses within and outside the UK have indicated their interest in attending the event to meet with other businessmen and government officials from the state. This will provide an opportunity for you and your organisations to explore the state’s business prospects.
One of our objectives is to highlights the huge business potentials of Bayelsa State yet to be fully explored. Bayelsa State is blessed with abundant mineral and human resources. The State accounts for over 25 percent of the total oil production in Nigeria; however, Bayelsa's most critical resource is its people. Investments in the human and mineral resources of the State could be used as a springboard for a new cycle of economic development and can succeed in transforming the entire Niger Delta area.
