Ososo Indigenes Cry Out
By
Buoro, Port Harcourt
Permit me chance to voice out our predicament in the hands of the our state government, our representatives in the State House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives and Senate on the total neglect of Ososo and its environs in Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo State.
The Governor, Chief Lucky Igbenedion has been very insensitive to our town and its people. I would like the citizens of the state to verify from the governor if
there is anything we have done wrong to merit his total neglect. No single development from the present administration, our roads are bad, no portable water, no
general hospitals to serve the town and its environs, the governor has made our town a-no-go area. To worsen issues, there was rain storm that wrecked havoc to
the town and its people, not a single word came from the governor; House of Assembly members, not even the House of Representatives nor the Senator or the
National Emergency Relieve Agency (NEMA). The governor is been teleguided by his commissioner of Justice, Ikhabafe, who has turned himself to a tingod.
Ososo town has been relegated to background despite its abundant natural and human resources and tourism potentials. The governor has never hid his disdain for
our people and the local government as a whole.
We have been marginalized for long and his administration has been the worst we have suffered under.
We are giving him opportunity of changing our impression about his government, that it was not just out to resuscitate his family moribund businesses at the
expense of the state.
